LA MESA SUITE - Interior Remodel

This suite design is the product of a remodel in which I expanded the size of the closet and bathroom. My client needed aging in place design to prepare for when her parents eventually move into the suite. She also needed a balance of storage & style for her large shoe collection and home office.
To accommodate the future needs of her parents, this suite was designed without flooring level changes. The bathroom sink has wheelchair accessibility by using removable shelving underneath. Also, the bathroom walls have been fortified to support a folding bench in the shower and handrails in strategic locations.
The bright mix of bohemian, modern, and elegant styles really describes my client's personal style. Lighting plays a key part in this design, especially in the closet - highlighting her clothes and accessories. To cut back on cost, we purchased a marble-look porcelain slab for the bathroom backsplash and retrofitted a mirror from West Elm to provide a backlighting element.
Throughout the projects I have worked on, this is in my top two favorites. I love how grand everything looks and how modern and clean the design is.

Jasmine created the most beautiful room for me! She really listened to what I was looking for, and used her amazing creativity to build me a modern bathroom and room with a walk-in closet.
